24 hour overnight camp at Greenbush by Girard, KS for youth 7-8 yrs old. Stay in A/C cabins, high low ropes course, canoeing, fishing, archery, games, etc. Camp is typically the first week of June!. Cost estimated at $80. Annoucements will be made when plans are finalzied each year.
Cabins:
Cabins have A/C, celing fans, a 1 stall shower/bathroom similar to your house. Adults have their own room, separated from the main cabin by a sliding door (behind the camera). Adults stay in the room and youth can come get us for any needs. Bedding is provided by Greenbush but youth may bring their own as well. They will need their own towel and tolietries.

Food & Water Bottle:
Meals are provided and served by Greenbush’s fully staffed kitchen. If your child has dietary restrictions, please make sure that is indicated in their 4-H Online profile/health information or reach out to me directly. Snacks will be provided throughout the day: putting a few snack bars in their bag is ok but please do not send a cooler or full snack bag as space is limited. Please pack a labeled water bottle!
Transportation:
Youth have the option to drive themselves or ride with Katie (4-H agent) in the district van. My pickup options on day 1 are typically Coffeyville Walmart, Cherryvale Jumpstart, or Cherryvale Rest stop on 400 hwy. These are the same drop off locations on the trip home. Times will be communicated before camp in a campers packet.
If you plan to transport your youth or pick-up early - follow the red line through greenbush campus to find us:
Electronics:
We ask all youth to leave their electronics at home or in their agent's vehicle for this trip. We want our youth to have an "unplugged" expereince and keep them very busy! We offer feet off the floor rest breaks/activites such as a small nap time or card games.

It will be administered by an onsite greenbush nurse. Storm shelters are located across camp and agents will be in contact with parents if we need to keep an eye on the weather. I have the cell phone numbers you listed on the greenbush form and 4-H Online profile.

Behavior:
We understand youth have lots of energy at camp and are out of their normal environment. Multiple warnings for behavior will be issued but misbehavior and disrespect of camp staff will not be tolerated. All youth have signed the 4-H code of conduct. We will call parents/guardians to pick up your youth at anytime of day if there is a reoccurring issue. We know this will not be an issue for Wildcat youth and sincerely appreciate how well behaved our youth are.
